I have come to understand therapy as a loving exchange that holds the potential to repair the heart. This is what I strive to offer to each of my clients and what you can expect from me.

Our focus will be on building a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship so that you can explore and know yourself more fully, including who you are and want to be in relationship to others. We will work together to identify the relational roots of your strengths as well the roots of what troubles you so that we can untangle and tend towards growth.

Together we will seek to understand the connections in your life that matter to you and shape you. This might include your relationships with family, friends, work, death and loss, identity, community, spirituality, power and privilege, and your relationship to Self.

My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and focused on the profound and unique potential of YOU. I am an active participant in the therapy session, and I will support you to explore through storytelling, movement, sensation and body awareness, images, metaphors, and by tapping into the mysterious and implicit aspects of experience. I will also always follow your lead and only ever go as deep as you want to go.

None of us are capable of healing in isolation. We need other people, and we need to feel connected to the universe of things around us. We are hurt in relationship, and we heal in relationship. Through mutual understanding and awareness, we can make room for the change you hope for. I would be honoured to walk beside you on this journey.

My Areas of Expertise Include:

About Me

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and I am a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP). I am governed by CRPO Professional Practice Standards and abide by their Code of Ethics. I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy supporting me to provide therapy in the UK and the North of Ireland.

I am an EMDR trained therapist and also a graduate of the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy, an intensive experiential and clinical training program in psychodynamic, intersubjective, relational psychotherapy accredited by the CRPO.

For over a decade I have had the pleasure of supporting community-led empowerment and wellbeing initiatives. I remain committed to social transformative justice in my therapy practice, including through an ongoing heart-led interrogation of white/colonizer supremacy, patriarchy, and heteronormativity.

I am a therapist, but I am also a lifelong learner and client. I meditate, create, move, research, and engage in personal weekly therapy and supervision so that I continue to grow and evolve, and can show up for clients with accountability, presence, and an open heart. If there are particular things you would like to learn in our work together, I will be your learning partner.

As a relational therapist, I understand that some of our most basic human needs are to belong, to be understood, to be valued and seen for who we are, and to be loved. When these needs are not met, we can experience a wide range of challenges in ourselves and in our relationships with others.

Although I know this life is filled with uncertainty, heartbreak, confusion, overwhelm and un-nameable wounds, I have also found that there is profound potential for meaningful connection, clarity, and joy. Let’s work together to learn new ways of navigating life’s struggles and rediscover the magic of your existence.
